Adding AACS to VLC made UHD discs on VLC and MakeMKV unrecognisable?

So here's a weird one.

I was helping someone install the AACS libraries and stuff and for myself as well, but things are broken on both VLC and MakeMKV:
VLC would first try to start the menu on the UHD discs, both would just, sit at a black screen after the loading icon from the menu.

But now VLC just says "Disc is corrupt" with UHD discs, removing the keys from ProgramData and VLC however made MakeMKV read the discs AACS files completely different:
One version dumps as it doesnt recogise the disc anymore, remove programdata/aacs/, different version, remove libaacs.dll from VLC, different version. So any UHD discs I put in now do not read on this Windows install.

The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted

Compiling it on a Linux box, putting in the time based key, and it reads the discs just fine. Huh? So the drive is fine, but something in this Windows install is weirdly messed up by putting in the AACS keys in Programdata and the DLL for VLC with itself

your messing with 2 different bluray decrypt methods choose 1 and stay with ityou cant mix and match the way your doing you can add the keys to makemkv with a keydb file butin has to be in the makemkv data directory not in vlc.
i find it hard to believe the os no longer sees the discs after doing this you have a different problem causing that i do belive you broke live playback decryption see that many times when helping people remotely with a drive they got from me.
just deleting the to conflicting aacs decryption methods and reenabling it in makemkv intagration would fix it.
