Avatar 4K UHD can't be decrypted

Just received both Avatar & The Way of Water 4K UHD discs. Can't Rip either: Message:
The Volume key is unknown for this disc- video can't be decrypted.
Saved AACS dump file:...MakeMKV/MKB20 v77 Avatar -The Way Of Water C2CB.tgz
Never happened before.
Do I upload these files for a solution?
Let me know,

Turning on VPN did the trick for Way of Water to fetch the HK.

I had to clean the disc good and turn up the retry setting. And finally, was able to get it done.

Edit- I have the Amazon Version

Having issues too…Walmart edition…(are the editions different?) I just cleaned it up the retry (didn’t know it was a thing till now) and will seee….

Those are read errors. Clean the disc or replace it.

I have the same problem with Avatar way of water with same error on Asus drive after 2 disk replacements. Since this is a 3 layer disk will it not work in these drives? I also cleaned the disk 3 times as well.

They can be difficult for sure. I use my bu40n most of the time. I have a Pioneer drive I use, as well. My Asus and lg drives are sitting on a shelf because they just don't handle triple layer very well. One thing you can try is using speed control to slow it down but that's rarely successful.

If you have a friendly drive like an ASUS or LG BH16NS40 or NS55 you can flash it to official firmware BH16NS60 1.02. Firmware of official drive handles 3-layer discs better.

That message means what it says and isn't a problem necessarily. If you're getting that message when ripping an optical disc, then probably the storage you're writing to is slow for some reason. Maybe your spinning hard drive is nearly full or it is connected to a USB2 port or something.

I was able to save a copy by selecting both the 800 and the 801 versions and attempting to save both titles. Trying to save one or the other wasn't working. When I tried to save both it saved one and one failed which was fine with me as I only wanted the one working copy.

I ripped both Avatar and Way Of Water in 4K without problems.
