Awesome. BB once again screwed me on shipping. In theory it'll be here tomorrow. I hope.

I just submitted a dump for US Amazon version. Which hex code are you referencing?

It's the 4-character hexidecimal before the .tgz in the dump file that is created.

Example: MKB20_v77_THREE_COLORS_WHITE_B6F4.tgz <---- It would be B6F4 in this case.

Submitted mine as well. Oddly enough, the blu-ray works OK.

Hey all,

I am new to using Make MKV and backing up my library. I tried to rip the new Wakanda Forever disc yesterday and realized I couldn't. I started to do some searching around and noticed you guys are talking about creating a dump file. Can someone explain to me exactly what I need to do to create a dump file or does Make MKV software fix this problem? Thanks

MakeMKV creates a dump file when it cannot extract the data. It's automatic.

What you do with the dump file depends on your circumstances. Generally, you would send the dump file to svq@makemkv.com to have a decryption key generated. If someone's already done that for your particular file (that's why the file name is important), you can just wait until the key is created, and MakeMKV will automatically use it.

But the file has no known use other than for key generation, so people don't normally look for it elsewhere.

Thanks for the response and getting back with me. Is this common for newer released movies to have happen?

Have you been able to rip yours yet? I have the same one. Still can't load the disk.
