Yeah I hadn't thought of that until I saw Woodstock mention it in the other thread. I was thinking os caching and forgot most people don't use secure dns. So that's good!

Sorry to revive an old topic but just got a new disk from Amazon and can't seem to decrypt it again. Double checked my internet to make sure nothing was blocking keys from being downloaded and everything looked good. Maybe a new batch of disks were printed? Sent the dump in but I'm wondering if these error codes in the log are of any significance?

Failed to open disc

I also made an encrypted backup of the entire disk and tried it on another computer (no UHD drive installed) with v1.14.7 just in case and got the same volume key error. Looks like it gets stuck on reading \AACS\ContentHash002.tbl and then produces the volume key error. Hoping it's just a different hash key from a new batch of disks.

Yep sure looks like there's a new batch of disks out there with a new volume key. Still not working here either, just gotta wait for mike at this point to get to it (unless somebody's kind enough to upload their original AACS folder from one of the older disks ).

Just want to comment that this film's transfer to 4K UHD format is incredible.

Just purchased from Amazon (UK) - normal bluray rips fine, 4k fails with "The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted" - I've emailed the AACS dump file

Just tried to decrypt The Shining -- a gift, presumably Amazon (US) version -- and no luck.

Emailed the dump. Hopefully this will get (re-?) cracked soon.
