I've been reading the available online documentation about Access Modes.

I have version 1.9.7 installed (Windows x64, trial), and when I run MakeMKV it always uses Direct Access Mode.

I've seen that OS Access Mode is faster.

How do I switch to OS Access Mode, or is that not enabled pre-registration (only had it a few days so far to assess for speed etc.)?

MakeMKV automatically switches to the fastest mode that will accomplish its needs. In most cases, though, OS mode will prevent access to some files.

You MAY have been reading about the use of the DASPI driver on the Mac - things move faster without it, but some machines need it to operate.
