I've been looking for a way to automatically select the attachments attachments. I found this post: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6259 from mikeadmin which sounds discouraging. Is this still the case with the GUI?

If so, is this something that could be done using the command line program makemkvcon instead?

No it is still the case, they are always disabled both in GUI and in makemkvcon. Request noted.
