Do MKV files preserve filmmaker mode?

I noticed the new Hobbit UHDs send the filmmaker mode signals to newer tvs. Is this something that makemkv or mkv files preserve? If not, is it on the roadmap?

I learned a thing today: https://filmmakermode.com

The first thing I do on any TV I'm forced to watch is turn every bit of processing and whatever marketing gunk there is to off.

I'm sure friends and family are starting to hide remotes when I visit.

probably not but just put the tv in that mode.
it was likely controlled by the player not disc.

Filmmaker mode has nothing to do with the source material. MKV has nothing to do with it.

You need to adjust your playback setup accordingly. No intelligent frames, no smoothing, no sharpening, no 23,xx fps -> 60 Hz etc. Basically no post-processing that some players or TVs do.
