Read out Read Speed from Command Line

Post by karbre »

Hi everyone,

is it possible during a Blu-ray backup via makemkvcon (via command line) to somehow read out the current read speed? It is shown in the GUI, both in MB/s and multiple of normal Blu-ray read speed. My goal is after a backup is done to print a graph of the read speed over time.

Any suggestions on if this is possible and how to do this would be helpful. The robot mode does not seem to give this information. But somehow the MakeMKV GUI must get that information?!...

I would also find this useful. The robot output already gets current track and total progress. It would be great to have the current read speed information as well. I assume the GUI is periodically calculating the data size read since the last calculation, and then displaying it. Perhaps each of these calculations could pass on the new rate.
