Profiles?

#1 Post by freak1 » Thu Sep 04, 2014 6:15 pm

Hi.

I want to convert my entire bluray collection og isos to mkv. I will be using Movies2MKV.

When i run it without changing anything TrueHD/DTS HD tracks are removed and every language is included.

What i want is to only preserve True HD / DTS HD and remove all others.

Also i want to keep Danish and English subtitles and remove all others.

But i can't figure out how. Do i download this, for 1.7.0? http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4386

Or use this? http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4385

I also tried to look under advance but i can't quite figure out what to change.

If you have turned on "Expert mode", in the Advance tab of the preferences, you will find a "Default selection rule" blank. I use the following, which pulls the high-def audio tracks:

Code: Select all

-sel:all,+sel:(favlang|nolang),-sel:mvcvideo,=100:all,-10:favlang
Because I do not have a favorite language selected, all audio and subtitle tracks are put into the MKV file, which I then process through Handbrake to get only the desired tracks in the "final product".

This is a defensive move, because not all tracks are properly tagged in the source... I ripped a movie yesterday where ALL tracks are tagged as "English", including the 3 Japanese language tracks. And I've had others that all tracks were tagged as "Japanese", including the English language dub.
