I have got the dtsdecoderdll installed. Can anyone tell me why my multichannel rip of Queen - A Night At The Opera bluray audio DTSHD MA to 24/96 FLAC in MKV is excessively loud clipping distorted? Playing the produced mkv natively in vlc sounds terrible. Extracting the audio from the mkv to 6 individual wav's confirms L, R, Ls, Rs are fully clipping. Ripping the disc directly to 6 channel wavs with DVD Audio Extractor also produces clipped wavs.
BUT playing the physical disc DTSHD MA in Power DVD in multichannel mode sounds fine. The hi res stereo also sounds fine AND rips fine. I also had this problem ripping a Rolling Stones DTS soundtrack.
Seems there is some faulty DTSHD MA surround conversion going on. Any ideas how to get DTSHD MA multichannel rips sounding the same as normal disc playback?
