FLAC Volume Level

#1 Post by Ryan727 » Mon Jun 24, 2013 11:03 pm

I'm new to the flac audio settings so I may be missing something. When I convert the audio to flac using makemkv the resulting audio is extremely low. I have to turn the volume all the way up on my receiver to get any discernible audio, any idea's? Also, I use plex to play the .mkv, volume levels are low but speaker channels are correct. When I play the .mkv in VLC the volume levels are fine but the speaker channels are reversed.

Sounds like XBMC's issue, AFAICT.

FLAC is analog. The default volume on most media players is half, whereas digital is much higher. Turn up the volume on your media player (as it should only affect analog). It is this way with the Mede8er media players.
