I'm trying to rip many DVD-R discs of videos created on a Toshiba DVD burner.
Most of these files are 4:3 and some are larger.
When the program scans the disc and then I run it, it only converts half the files on the disc or so. The thing is that other programs like wonderfox and Winx see all the vob files on my discs.....but can only convert one at a time. I don't want to rip them one at a time and I like the quality I get from makemkv. This leads me to believe there is something unique about these discs. I tried opening and or scanning the disc using all the modes: CellWallk, CellTrim, CellFull.auto and the results were the same. Below is an image of what the results of makemkv opening and scanning my discs.
What settings could I try to get the program to convert ALL the vob files on the disc?
I may have to use makemkv to rip what I can and another program to get the rest of the files. Even if I have to do it one at a time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
How do you open in manual mode and will that make a difference?
Generally, I am now getting either 32 or 36, sometimes more files converted from each disc. But I am clearly missing files that are on the disc that other programs can convert. Do I have some type of setting that is limiting what files convert?
Here is what I get when I open a disc in makemkv
MakeMKV v1.17.3 win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode

Re: makemkv skipping files on DVD-R that other programs can see
The videos on these discs are from various sources. Downloaded video from youtube, etc. Some a copied from VHS and they vary in size and quality. All burnt onto DVD-R's in an older Toshiba DVD burner.
