As in subject. New key anytime soon?

New version (1.9.5 to be exact) was posted yesterday, with a new key.

I just downloaded and installed 1.9.5. I used the newest key found here: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053

Which is already expired. Maybe the key wasn't updated in that forum post due to an oversight?

Am also seeing old key unless am missing something. For temporary and easy solution, just change today's date to before the expiration to get it working again.

Yup key is expired.

Yup, it says it's good til the end of July but not true because it's still July and my key just got revoked this evening.

I set the date back and re-entered the old key again and it's working for now so at least I can use it tonight.

Only it's not valid until end of October 2015 when viewed from the About page inside the program.

If you installed the new version, the key was already updated as part of the install... Putting the beta key in replaced what was built into the download.

If, after a clean install of a just-released version, it says the key in the download is expired, then we need to ask Mike about that.

Those of us who bought keys don't see these issues, but we know they can exist.

And sometimes we just need to wait a day or two for a new key.
He always gets there.
Patience is a virtue.
Even moreso when dealing with an amazing piece of software that has been free for most people.

The current key should be valid until the end of October. The latest one will always be found at this link:

When we do reach the end of a beta key's life, until Mike posts a new version OR a new key, you can start MakeMKV by setting your system date back to before the key expired, start MakeMKV, then restore the current date.

The current key is not good "until the end of October," instead it's good until the end of September. Just take a look at when MakeMKV reports it expires. Hopefully this doesn't mean we'll have to spend a month setting back the clocks on our computers.
