upgrades

are upgrades good for mac's....i don't want to lose this service....
Since each new version is issued at the same time on all three platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux), then yes.
The only exception I'm aware of is a special version, specifically for the Mac, years ago, because a Mac-specific bug was found. It created its own kind of problem, though, because people got confused over its version number, so Mike hasn't done that since.
