I just installed the latest version (1.9.2) of makemkv and none of the dvds are recognized, makemkv sees the drive and will eject the disk but comes back with "no disk". Have I overlooked something?

If it says "No disk", that's what the operating system told it when it asked from the directory.

Try resetting your machine and try again. Often, Windows will decide a drive is empty and won't take any evidence to the contrary into account.
