Is MakeMKV having trouble decoding FLAC from MKVs?

I can't seem to get MakeMKV to decode surround sound FLAC streams from MKV, even ones it wrote itself.
I can convert Stereo fine, but any attempt to decode 5.1 or 7.1 results in debug messages and ultimate failure.
Apparently there's something wrong with my PC, but it's the only one I have so I can't test if that's what's causing this problem.
Can anyone else decode 5.1 FLAC using MakeMKV?

Which version of MakeMKV are you using?
Versions for Linux require you to have the latest version of ffmpeg installed, if you are dealing with some high-def audio tracks.

Windows.
And I'm decoding FLAC tracks (which the current version of MakeMKV made in the first place)... so it's not layout or bitdepth problems.

There was a bug like this long time ago (MakeMKV failed to decode flac with huge frames). Please send the log, and preferably a 10-second MKV file cut in mkvmerge.

It seems to be listing the surround sound FLAC tracks as having a layout of '0', whereas the stereo flac tracks are listed correctly as '2' and the TrueHD tracks are listed as '5.1', '7.1' etc.

It happens whether the FLAC was encoded with MakeMKV or 'Other' (ie EAC3To).

For that matter there's this too:

I get the same debug codes being spat out every single time I remux an MKV (the original files sourced from the same version of MakeMKV).
