Is makemkv still being produced? I see last release was in 2010.

It might be the fact that the Announcements section never has changing dates, because Mike edits the messages, rather than replacing them. The date on the latest message there is 2010, even though the CONTENT of the message is announcing v1.9.1.
And, since Mike is an admin, his edits aren't even marked with a "last edited ....." line.
