Problems with new BD+ code in 1.8.14

I have two James Bond Blu-Rays (You Only Live Twice and On Her Majesty's Secret Service) that give the "no FUTs received" error message. Neither of these properly rip in 1.8.14

However, if I downgrade to 1.8.12 (I couldn't find 1.8.13) - they both rip fine. Tried multiple drives as well.

I notice there is new BD+ code in 1.8.14, I figured that was it.

I have the two tgz dump files, I figured they were two big for email (14mb each). Let me know if they would be useful.

This is a known bug in 1.8.14 - in a process of making BD+ engine better we broke it for discs released in late 2011-early 2012. There is no workaround short of using 1.8.13 for these discs from /faq/item/15/catid/6 . The new version 1.8.15 will be released in a few days, specifically to fix this bug and to add support for AACS v50.

Hey Mike, you said version 1.8.15 would be released in a few days to fix the problems with the BD+ code, its now been about 2 weeks since you posted that comment, this further proves the development of MakeMKV is way too slow and unreliable...

I'm not comparing it to anything, I'm just saying that Mike shouldn't post a comment saying that a new version will be released in a few days, when, 2 weeks later it still hasn't come out...

His definition of a few days is obviously much longer than mine, and most likley a lot of other people's (3-5 days)...

Would you be happier with, "when it's ready."? The reality is that that's as close to an accurate answer as he can ever give.

Yes, I suppose so, I also can't believe this software doesn't support forced subtitle flags on DVD's when the issue was identified around 4 years ago and Mike said it would "likley be corrected in a next version", you may find it entertaining to read my response: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic ... 117#p36117

I've been trying to get Mike to respond to the issue of forced subtitles lately but he seems completely oblivious to it, perhaps he will start to notice if other people start complaining about it as well...
