Yes. It spits out an "initialization failed" error immediately at startup. Works fine on my XP T40 laptop. This 2K installation contains all the latest updates and .net available.
And BTW - THANK YOU. This is by far the easiest application I've used for converting DVDs to the network. When I think of the hijinks I've used before to get those DVDs online - my eyes roll. Our media players would play those .isos, but it was always inconvenient. MKVs are the way to go!

I could be mistaken but, I seem to remember that you must be logged on as "Administrator"

MakeMKV requires XP minimum.

It works great with XP, but I'm kinda partial to 2000 and am (hopefully) moving toward this:
