title failed - how do I find info?

I've had this happen on several .mkv files I'v gotton online - not every file faisl just one in a while.
What happens is the primary audi track is non-English so I just want to make a new version of the file with just English.
MakeMkv chugs away for a few seconds and just says "failed".
Which isn't much help - is there some log being written somewhere that I can pull some information from and send along so this issue can be fixed?
