MakeMKV 1.8.9 Problem

I have just tried 1.8.9 version with no luck. It is exactly the same as the previous version where it fails to rip a DVD. It goes all through the motions and at the last minute it says failed, yet with version 1.8.7 it sails through and doesn't take that long. It is only the last two versions that are not working for me. If I did another rip with 1.8.9 and kept the log would that help? I could also keep the log of the rip with 1.8.7 too.

I had success with 1.8.9 this time and the only thing that was different, I installed 1.8.9 into a new folder instead of letting the installer uninstall my older version. Is it possible that it isn't being uninstalled properly?. Both logs seem completely different for the same rip though.

I am also having a major issue running 1.8.9 , it fails to open BluRays that the previous version was able to open.

They all have the same debug error.

001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 0 at ob$R(eL]7w[j'4:213138793
001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 0 at e+3b-`N+SaUu3w]P:121265867

001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 0 at e+3b-`N+SaUu3w]P:29397288
005010:0000 Failed to open disc

These are the Shogun blurays. All 3 BD do this with 1.8.9

Here is the difference between the two log files of 1.8.9 and 1.8.7. You can see where 1.8.9 version seems to get stuck on Title 56 and the next title is number 68 where 1.8.7 has no problem with same rip and goes straight to the next title and it is also much quicker to rip the film.
