The output file of MakeMKV won't play in my LG blu-ray player model BD570. This player supports mkv- files (I played already many). What could be wrong?

It's always a problem with the player compatibility. The LG blu-ray player model BD570 could support the container MKV but this doesn't means he'll work proprely on every file.

I know many player have trouble when a MKV file have more than 1 audiotrack.
Try to extract a new .mkv with only one videotrack, one audiotrack and no subtitle.

Hi Icetrips,

I can't see anywhere to specify output filetype. Is this a registered feature?

Thanks,
Dax.

Support for MKV files does not always mean support for all codecs that can be in an MKV file. That said, a BD player should be able to support all Bluray standard codecs. "won't play" can be either video or audio incompatibility.

What you get in an MKV file is a copy of what was on the original disk. You can use advanced features in MakeMKV to convert some audio tracks to a different encoding, but the video encoding doesn't change.

Certain Samsung players have issues with 1:1 mkv rips. I have seen remuxing them with Mkvtoolnix fix the problems in some cases. This is not a fault of makemkv but rather the Samsung player. The end result is all that matters I guess.

Are you able to access the file itself or is the drive too big?
