MakeMKV and AHCI mode

MakeMKV 1.48 beta still does not work with S-ATA drives in AHCI mode.
For performance reasons I don't want to disable AHCI, but MakeMKV is such a sweet program I might be forced to bite the bullet.
Is this something that will be fixed in an upcoming beta or the final version?

The program can't find any usable optical drives.Is this something that will be fixed in an upcoming beta or the final version?
