www.makemkv.com

Ok so Im new to this, just started my trial. I backed up a few blurays. I then put in a new harddrive, I might have changed some other settings in windows, but none in makemkv.

These small .tgz files started showing up with each movie. for example, this is one of them

MKB_v26_KUNG_FU_PANDA_2.tgz

I just wanted to make sure this is normal. Im guessing makemkv was dumping these files somewhere else and it just defaulted to this new folder.

The files are very small, like 15KB.

Ok so I figured out my own question. I was searching for "mkb rar" but its not an rar file, when I seached for "mkb tgz" I found my answer! Sorry!

Those are called tarballs. It's the Linux equivalent of rar or zip files.
