newbie question

Do you need anything else with the product to copy or make the mkv? As in past anydvd running in background? This works on BR also with out any thing else need? Can i use this product to change all my video_ts folder to mkv fast and efficiently? I have plex and it can not stream my folders. but appears to like mkv format. Thanks B2R
