Can any other Batman Begins owners please confirm the size of their lossless rip using MakeMKV? I stripped out everything except the Dolby TrueHD track and English subtitles. If I'm doing my math correctly (and the information here is correct
http://www.avsforum.com/t/1155731/new-u ... t_19555455), it seems like my rip should be roughly 16.7 GB. However, my rip is only 14.9 GB.

Well, I can tell you that my HD-DVD rip of Batman Begins with Dolby TrueHD and English subs is 15.0 GB, although I didn't use MakeMKV to rip it.

Hi!
1) Have you checked the runtime of your rip, to at least ascertain that you're not missing any part of the movie itself?
2) Have you confirmed that the audio included in your rip is, in fact, the lossless Dolby TrueHD version

Yes to both. Run time is correct and I have the Dolby TrueHD sound track. I did uncheck the core DD sound track. Could that account for the difference?

My Batman Begins is 15.5GB, English TrueHD and German AC3, no subtitles however.
A rough estimate how big a AC3 stream of that movie length would be, it would seem to match your file size.
And yes, the BD Info you listed probably includes the core AC3 track inside the TrueHD track, also, mpeg-ts is generally larger than a matching MKV.

Thanks! It just seemed too small to be lossless.
