Can't demux PGS subtitle stream from MKV container?

Mike- I have been trying unsuccessfully to demux the PGS stream from the MKV container created by MakeMKV for conversion in SupRip. I used mkvextract, TsMuxer and TsRemux. None of these worked. Researching the internet including pouring through Doom9 hasn't given me an real good information. The conclusion I came to is there is no real way to strip the stream from an mkv. Your post about introducing a utility to do this seems to support that fact. Is this the case to your knowledge?
. We are even considering writing a simple command-line utility specifically for this purpose - to extract PGS stream from MKV to .sup. Eventually open-source tools should pick up the format.
