Hi folks,

Trying to extract episodes from my backup of the Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5 Disk 3, I got for the first time an apparent assertion failure from MakeMKV 1.4.6. The first and third real titles on the disk extract fine; the second doesn't and always fails at the same place about a third of the way in.

Running in W7 7100 32 bit, 4 GB RAM on a dual core AMD X2 Kuma. No problems with other discs; this is my first recent failure. Extraction is from an Iso I made of my disk; running Anydvdhd 6.5.7.4 with Elby Virtual Clone Drive hosting the image.

Thanks for reporting. The log file shows nothing of interest unfortunately, is it a main episode failing or some additional feature?

On a side note, you'll get beteer performance by opening iso image directly (from File-Open) rather than mounting it in VCD.

Thanks for the reply. Here is some further information.

This disk wouldn't open in makemkv as an iso; it failed before getting to the track listings screen.

The episode I had trouble extracting is one of three on the disk. The other two extract fine.

The one that fails seems to be listed twice, once with size and chapters, once just size, same size for both.

Anything else I should try? Other logs I can give?

For what it's worth, I was finally able to rip this episode using RibBot264. But it took about 10 hours!

Excellent! Thanks for your attention. Glad the logs helped. Looked like gobbledygook to me but I figured you might be able to do something with it.

Great work on this software.

One question: do you have any recommendation what I should do with some 1080i VC1 content I ripped out of Torchwood season 3? Apparently the common decoders don't like interlaced VC1 content. I'm looking for an easy solution to play them, short of using PowerDVD to play the .iso. Any decent codec I can simply register and enable with FilterTweaker without disabling the WMF or anything intense like that? I just use DD/DTS audio via SPDIF. Nothing fancy on that score.
