not working with HD-DVD's

I tried Lost in Translation and The Game, I ripped them using AnyDvd and then when i open with MakeMKV it cant see the main movie. As a test I tried converting a trailer that it could see and when I played it back it didnt have any sound. Although HD-DVD's arent being made anymore it would be nice to be able to convert the ones I have, any ideas or suggestions? I am using VIsta 64 bit.
