Have I bricked it?

Post by StSt0408 »

I have a LG BP50NB40 drive running on Windows 10.

A few months ago, I flashed the firmware and had it running just fine with MakeMKV, I even did some test rips to be sure. I didn't have my NAS set up yet, so I put my drive to the side. I finally got my server online this week, so I went to update MakeMKV and start ripping my disks, and now the drive is not showing up anywhere in Windows or MakeMKV. A few weeks ago when clearing some files I uninstalled the ODD update program, which is the only change that I could possibly think to affect the drive.

Could anybody help provide me with some guidance/tips? I am glad to give more details if need be and anybody's help is greatly appreciated.

likely not
try a new port or pc
reseat the cable make sure its fully in on both ends
replace the cable
if none of that works the drive probably somehow died

simply uninstalling the updater would not do this
