Drive Letters After Disc Change

Hello,
I've been using MakeMkV for a while now. I decided to bump up to a ripping tower. In the process I set it so Windows will label the DVD drives R-W, there are 6 in the tower, so I can recognize them in MakeMKV. This all works, at startup. When I replace the disc(s) I get CdRom0 through CdRom5. The drives never load in the same order but they do always show the serial numbers.
I would love it if the assigned drive letters MakeMKV gets at startup could stay constant/static with disc changes. We all know, unless this is our first project or we only have one drive, that MKV can only see the drives that are connected when that instance of MKV starts up. This means it already knows what drives were there at that point. the fact that it shows the right letters at startup says it's getting that information as well. It's just a matter of making the letters survive a disc change.
Is this something the development team can work on?

use single drive mode in makemkv

the letters changing is not makemkv thats windows and that should not be happening if the drives are staying connected

From what I've been able to find it's normal for the drive letter to stop coming up after a disc change due to how the code in MKV is written. All 6 drives remain attached via a powered USB hub. I have 6 windows of MKV open so I can rip 6 discs, one in each drive.
