I would guess it can rip DVDs and Blu-rays but it can't rip 4K UHDs.

Speaking of old drives, I recently fell into a deal for 8 pioneer bdr-207s from 2011 lol. They were in a Blu-ray Disc duplicator. I can’t imagine they have much longevity left but I’m going to test them here shortly.

Since it is an older 2012 drive, it will likely work fine for standard Blu ray and DVD tasks but probably not for UHD ripping. If your goal is only regular Blu ray backups, it should still be usable.
