Blu Ray drives

Am I correct in thinking any Blu-ray Drive is capable of using make MKV to make a copy of a blu-ray movie, the only tricky part is trying to copy a UHD movie.
Correct. Only 4K UHD takes a special drive.
Although I do wish MakeMKV could rip SACD.
