Mike, thank you for all your hard work on MakeMKV. I've been using it for two years, and it's a damned fine tool. You clearly put a lot of hard work and love into that application, and I appreciate it.

So whatever is going on in your life, I hope you're okay, and in good emotional and physical health... and if you're not okay, I hope you make a full recovery. Whether you suffered a personal loss, or your motherboard caught fire, or you got your heart broken, or heck, even if you're just enjoying an unplugged vacation... best of luck and best of health to you. πŸŒˆπŸ€

100!

I’m hoping he’s on vacation and having such a great time that he lost track of time.

I sincerely hope the dev is in good health and wish him well.

However, I've signed up to this board to offer my experience and insight on this unfortunate key circumstance.

I make YouTube videos, and pulling clips for essays and reviews is essential to my work. MakeMKV is the only reliable product I've found that works with my OS and set-up, and I am not denigrating the excellent work of the developer. It is a truly superior product.

HOWEVER.

As a retail and department manager and former ground supervisor for an airline, this is why you MUST appoint a secondary agent to manage a product. Yesterday evening I had the regrettable but necessary need to request a refund of $88 CAD from PayPro Global that was approved this morning. I cannot in good trust pay for this software or the project when the owner and operator of a business vanishes without a trace and has no back-up to respond to messages or provide any further information.

This is not how you run a business.

I'm new here (only been using the program for a couple of weeks), but I second this.
Reading some of the other posts in this section regarding the key situation made me sad because some of them came off as entitled, rude, and/or pretentious.
Sometimes things don't go according to plan and you have to live with sub-optimal situations, be patient, and show some damn empathy! Remember there are other humans behind this effort.
Thanks Mike and everyone else who supports the software and hopefully the situation is resolved soon.

1000% what 'Sphinxy' and 'nothingworks' said!

I have been using the free version of 'MakeMKV' for many years and I gotta say I felt guilty and it would happen to be this month that I finally break down and decide to pay for it. So, I am like all the other folks waiting for a key.

I am sure I am getting very close to 10,000 ripped MKV files using this product and I can't think of any issue with 'MakeMKV', it's usually the disc or my machine (or worse yet my fault  ).

Just doing some quick calculation, I have about 8,000 MKV files on my server now and I paid $65 on August 1. That means I basically paid about $0.008125 for each ripped MKV. Not a bad deal so far.

Anyway, I hope everything is alright with Mike and I hope he is well and enjoying life. 8)

Thank you for putting into words that which I too wanted to express.

Mike, since I can't say it any better than Sphinxy said it, i will just say I hope you're okay and able to let us know, even if you're not able to continue with this product.
