1.18.1 version is too old error

I just opened the MakeMKV app to finish ripping some discs, and when I opened it, it gave me an error message saying the version is too old. I thought that maybe there was an update, and it did not update, so I deleted the app and reinstalled it, and it still gives me the error message. Has anybody else had this problem? I used this app yesterday without any problems, and now it's not working. What should I do? Thanks for the help

I am having the same problem. But i have found a temporary work around. You need to run a command prompt and change the date back to the end of July

Anyone have instructions on how to change the date on a Mac? I purchased a permanent license, but am waiting for the key.

Well, it's pretty clear to me.
Because the program is in beta stage, version 1.18.1 has an expiration date, which coincidentally was the same date the beta key expired, namely August 1st, 2025.

Mike will either just create a new beta key, and like the message says, once you have a working key, the program will continue to work.
And possibly, there will be a new version soon as well.

If you want a permanent solution, you just have to buy a permanent key. But there are some issues with that currently.

So, we all just have to be patient for a new beta key to be published, and new permanent keys to be made as well.
Until then, there's nothing anyone can do.

For anyone who's not comfortable using command prompts,
can also temporarily change the date (on Windows 10): :D

search for/open Settings
go to Time & Language, then Date & time
turn Off Set time automatically
Change date manually, then Change

When finished using MakeMKV, turn Set time auto back On to reset date/time.

Sorry, I don't own a Mac but, according to Google, Date setting
should be in the Apple menu > System Settings, General, Date & Time.

Thanks for the advice. I had seen that before, but it seemed too simple. Needless to say, it worked.

That works perfect for me. Thank you at least I can now use my new flashed drive and give it a run.

No problem, glad I could help with your date changes. :)

Thanks again to Stephen for coming up with the brilliant temporary date change fix earlier. :D
