Hello everyone,

First off, thank you to everyone for being so helpful. It was pretty hard to get started and I am glad yall were here to help.

I am wondering if anyone has found a way to keep the menu from the disks? I am using a Pioneer BDR-S13J-X (Premium Official UHD Drive) and so far its been great. Takes about 10 - 20 minutes per disk. Any advice is helpful.

Thanks!

Typically, MakeMKV rips a movie into a .mkv file. One video per file. You can rip the movie and any interesting 'extras' on a disc and playback systems like Plex have ways to show you all that stuff.

There is, however, another way MakeMKV can rip a disc. An unencrypted backup can be made. On the first screen of MakeMKV, click the icon of a yellow folder with a green arrow. In the case of a DVD, you'll end up with a .iso file. In the case of a blu-ray or UHD, you'll end up with a folder structure with the contents of the disc copied into it.

With the right kind of player, you can play either the .iso file or a backup folder and navigate the disc's menus.
