Good Day.

I have tried reading some of the post regarding flashing the FW for WH14NS40 to read/rip UHD disc(s). I am still fairly new with flashing drives but not PC bios. I have already dumped the fw of the drive to save a copy of it incase something went wrong. All I need now is guidance on what to do next.

Here is the makemkv information for my BDrive:

Drive Information
OS device name: F:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE WH14NS40
Revision: 1.01
Serial number: ...
Firmware date: 2113-04-04 23:25
Bus encryption flags: 17

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: MT1939
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.01
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Partial
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

Here is the command i used to dump the original firmware: (did i do it right?)

makemkvcon64.exe f -d F: dump auto -o d:\bddump\

Operation started: Reading flash memory
100% Operation finished

Command produced 1 file(s)
#00: size=2048Kb name=dump_full_HL-DT-ST_BD-RE__WH14NS40_1.01_211304042325_K91D5S24928.bin

The Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide says, right at the top, that the drive platform needs to be MT1959. Yours is MT1939. If you try to flash your drive, you'll probably break it.
