Very new to this - error flashing firmware

Hello,

I am trying to follow this guide but I think I'm misunderstanding part of it: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634

I have been trying to use Marty's SDF Tool Flasher but I keep getting errors https://www.reddit.com/r/makemkv/commen ... now_whats/

I guess I'm confused and im looking back at the forum. Can I use MakeMKV software to flash my LG drive? or is that only SDF Tool Flasher, and if I need to use SDF tool flasher, does anybody have any idea on any other diagnostic steps I can take?

I assume you don't have installed makemkv, do you? The Flashing Tool needs a makemkv installation, as far as I know.
