I'm Brand New To MakeMKV and getting Error 'OS error - ...'
Posted: Sat Jan 25, 2025 11:11 pm
Today I set up my LG WH16NS40 drive and patched it with the "The all you need firmware pack". MakeMKV is able to find my drive and read the discs just fine. After pressing 'Make MKV', it throws me this error. I looked on other posts with similar errors in this forum, and a solution I saw was to make sure it's in a USB 3.0 slot, it's currently in my USB 3.2 Gen 2 slot, so that should be more than enough right? I'm not sure what's going on

UPDATE 1/25/25 9pm MST
- it only does this for one movie disk I have. I tried copying other tv show disks and it worked just fine. So maybe it doesn't like that specific movie disk, or all movies. I'll make sure to test more soon.
This is the tutorial I followed and all of my patching information looked the same besides the S/N
