Seems like the latest beta 1.17.7 crashes after startup ? used to work nicely before, but was requested to install a newer one and now it crashes

Did you install the current key? The key in the archive expired already.

That helped - the temporary key - however that was never necessary in the past...

Then this is the first time you've experienced a long beta period with MakeMKV. The keys expire after two months, but the beta version doesn't change that often anymore. If you look back through the version history, the gap between new versions has gone up. 1.17.6 lasted for 5 months, before being replaced by 1.17.7, which was just a "Version bump, no changes". That version is now nearly 4 months old, so it's included key expired several months ago.

This key expires at the end of October... Guess what will happen then?
