Free Trial only lasted for 3 days?

I downloaded Makekmkv less than 3 days ago but it now says my free trial is over. The website says the free trial is 30 days. What gives? 
The free trial requires a beta key. If you actually READ THE FORUM, you would see that the current beta key expired LAST MONTH, and a new one has not been issued yet.
There are ways to get around the expiration date, besides the author issuing a new key, but they involve setting your system date to a valid period during start-up. They're mentioned in the FAQ that is at the top of the forum, obviously hidden in invisibility.
