RE:WONT READ DISKS

Good morning.,i have my drive all flashed and good to go..when i connect it to my mac it just spins and spins and never shows up in makemkv.....it will finally eject it. I have tried 17 different blu rays and 4ks with the same results. I am lost here. please help

When i put a disk in it just spins and spins..never shows any contents of the disks .

How is the drive hooked up what adapter are you using if any

i have it in a enclosure and connected via usb port.

Which enclosure? I have drives in both the OWC enclosure and the Vantec NexStar DX which work fine with my Mac.

it does the same whether i hook it up to a windows machine or my macbook pro...doesnt read the disks...just spins and ejects.

Either the laser is dead or the lens is polluted. You can try a CD cleaning disc to clean the lens. Note: CD! A BD cleaning disc might not be recognized and the CD cleaning disc does the same job. If that fails you have a door stop and the laser is dead. To check you can try a DVD or CD which uses the second laser.
