Slow USB-Drive?

Post by s6it78 »

My internal BD-Drive died and i thought i replace it with an external USB-BD-Drive (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0BXLFFTM9?psc ... ct_details)

The Drive arrived today any works really fast and silent. So all is fine?
Sadly in makemkv it seems to be locked to 1.2 MB/sec. No matter i rip a DVD (90 minutes) or try to rip a BD (6-7h estimated).
At first i thought maybe is just at the beginning a slow speed, but no, its that slow all the time.

Since its only a issue in makemkv i think its a software related problem. Is there a trick to get it faster in makemkv?

Out of curiosity, can you post your MakeMKV drive information?

Just start Makemkv and copy&paste the text on the right side. No need for a picture.

A Matshita BD-MLT UJ240AS, revision 1.01.

I have no idea if that's an actual Panasonic made drive or something else that's been rebranded. I know Panasonic still sells optical drives for some of their laptops.
