Dumb Playlist Obfuscation Question

I understand the concept and the reason why some content creators are doing this. I also understand how to use procmon to determine correct segment ordering.
What Im confused about is how a cheap standalone player can determine which playlist is correct when a multicore PC with no time constraint cant.
From what I understand, BD & UHD encryption keys have been found so to me that means everything on the disk is readable.
If a standalone cheapy player can quickly determine which playlist is correct, why is this not doable on a PC?
