Using the latest MakeMKV on Unraid and when playing back with any version of media player on windows I get this glitch/scramble on a regular basis on just about every disk. Plays as expected on Plex and VLC, but it makes me nervous and I don't want to rip my entire collection and end up with bad copies. Any thoughts on what is going on?

Are you playing the rips MakeMKV produces? If so, what you're seeing is undoubtedly a Window Media Player issue.
One of the hallmarks of MakeMKV is it verifies that what it rips from the disc is correct. If it is not correct, then MakeMKV does not produce an output file.

Thanks for guidance on this. I don't see a lot of discussion on this topic, which makes me wonder if people can generally play makemkv movies on windows media player without issue. Is this a known systemic issue that doesn't happen to get a lot of attention? There are no corrective measures that can be taken? Many thanks!

Bumping this one more time, appreciate any feedback on this one. Can people generally play makemkv movie exports on windows media player or does it generally result in this frequent scramble/glitch scenario?

I don't use Windows, so I don't have a lot of personal experience here. But in my time on these forums, on occasion people ask about one playback problem or another with Windows Media Player. They're always suggested to move on from Windows Media Player.
Logically, since Windows is popular and WMP is the default, people must use it. But I've never seen an advocate here for using it as part of an ideal playback setup. Other options that are known to work well are free and easily available.
