Convert to ProRes

First, what I am trying to do:

I have an Atomos Ninja2 HDMI recorder / player. I believe Apple ProRes (.mov container) is the format it records in. I have no problem converting its recordings to other formats.

I wanted to try using the Ninja2 as a player of files loaded on to its drive.

So if I am working with a BD file, I need to convert m2ts to Apple ProRes. Is there freeware that will do this, without a watermark or time limit? It's just a silly idea I want to try so I don't really want to purchase software; it's not that important. Thought I'd ask.

A quick Internet search seems to suggest that ffmpeg has a ProRes encoder.
