Hi,

I tried to search but was not able to find anything. I have the paid version of MakeMKV.

While I am able to rip UHD disks and play them back fine using VLC, if I attempt to play the UHD disk directly using VLC I get stuttering and anywhere around the 1 hour mark the video will stop playing but the sound continues in the background.

Is their a solution to be able to watch a UHD title directly without first ripping it to my HD ?.

Does everyone just rip their disks directly to PC ?.

Surely their is the ability to watch by putting the disc in instead of ripping it ?

It's less used to watch disks without ripping, frankly. Also, pausing the video for too long (letting the disk stop spinning) can have issues.

Thankyou, I always thought once the drive was cracked you could use them to play content on your PC (without ripping) instead of TV
(if you buy player)
