ASUS BW-16D1HT Timeout Mid-transfer

Post by Ilikethestars »

I am using an ASUS BW-16D1HT. I followed the instructions in this forum to change the firmware so that LibreDrive mode is enabled -- firmware: 3.10. (Thank you all so much for the amazing instructions and program to make this happen!)

Everything works wonderfully until approximately 5-10 minutes into the saving process, it then freezes and gives me this error:

STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED

I have seen many posts about this code on here but I've found a weird difference: if I click anywhere on the dialogue screen every minute or so, this error does not occur and completes process just fine. It seems that my BD is timing out or something.

I did see in the "ultimate flashing guide" that there is a "sleep bug" mention and fix...though what I am encountering seems to be different than what is described there, and the fix does not make sense to me.

My question is: is there a known way to fix this particular sleep issue or will I just have to continue clicking every minute or so for every transfer?

Not a case but an external USB 3.0 DC powered Vantec SATA adaptor.

Try turning off USB selective suspending in your power plan
