Question about the future of MakeMKV

Well, I know this is probably something nobody wants to talk about but I would like to know it (and maybe also some other users here?)
Over at the forum thread "Event Horizon UK/EU 4K" (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=28969) it was discussed shortly, but I guess here under the general discussion section is a better place to talk about it.
Is makemkv really a single-person project? Or are there multiple people behind makemkv that have access to the code and the tools necessary to keep makemkv alive and could take over? (No details needed, just a simple "yes, there are multiple people having access to the code", would be sufficient for me atleast)
I really hope that it will run for many more decades as it is right now (many many thanks to mike for this awesome software!) but it would be nice to know if the project continues in the event the current maintainer (mike?) doesn´t want to or isn´t able to do so anymore. (I really hope that this scenario will never happen!)
Thanks! (:
