Pioneer XD08MB-S cannot ripe Mulan 4K
Posted: Thu May 05, 2022 1:05 pm
Hello Guys,
I just purchased my first 4K capable Pioneer BDR-XD08MB-S from Amazon-Jpn,
and also my first 4K+Bluray movie (Mulan 2020) from Amazon-US.
While the Bluray Mulan ripped fine, no luck for the 4K Mulan.
MKV v1.16.7 generate a lot of Scsi errors / Debug code messages.
Tried MKV v1.15.2 (early version that support AACS 76 from version history), no luck too.
Been reading this forum for quite a while,
i suppose mine is an Official (can read 33GB layer) Unfriendly (cannot rip 4K) UHD Drive ?
Any chance of my new Drive ripping the 4K in the next version or near future ?
Does it help if i send my Mulan or XD08 dumps to support@makemkv.com (or svq@makemkv.com)
Beside the Mulan.tgz dump, MKV folder have another 2 tgz files.
I also have Asus BW-12B1ST (2012) & Pioneer BDR-209BK RS8600 (2013) attached to PC.
How to know which dump belong to which BD Drive or how to generate one ?
----------Found the answer for this one-------------
Also,
The PowerDVD that comes with XD08MB-S is also not able to play due to absence of Intel SGX.
I am on Ryzen 3700X, Win7 + Win10.
Any way of at least watching the 4K on my PC without changing CPU or getting standalone player ?
Appreciate any assistance.
Many Thankss !!
